Colin Powell asked President elect Barack Obama to review the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. It is a policy about gay people in the military. Colin Powell says the policy is outdated. Finally a person willing to admit how horrible this policy is. The gay/lesbian people should be able to serve openly, as it is there constitutional right. The only problem? He asked for it to be reviewed not repealed. I thought that we could move past all the differences. Whether it be gay, or straight, Caucasian or African American, but apparently we are not quite there yet. We are getting closer, but not there yet.
